Brewers Tailgate Chili

This chili recipe is one I used to make for every Brewers opening day tailgate- it has a ton of ingredients but is definitely a crowd pleaser!
Ingredients
- 2# Ground Beef Chuck
- 1# Bulk Italian sausage
- 3(15oz) cans of chili beans drained
- 1 (15oz) can of chili beans in spicy sauce
- 2(28oz) cans diced tomatoes with juice
- 1(6oz) can tomato paste
- 1large yellow onion, chopped
- 3stalks celery, chopped
- 1 green pepper- chopped
- 1 red pepper-chopped
- 2 green chile peppers - chopped
- 1T bacon bits
- 4 cubes beef bouillon
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1T Worcestershire sauce
- 1T minced garlic
- 1T dried oregano
- 2tea ground cumin
- 2tea Tabasco
- 1tea dried basil
- 1tea salt
- 1tea ground black pepper
- 1tea cayenne pepper
- 1tea paprika
- 1tea white sugar
Instructions
- Heat a large stock pot over medium heat- high heat. Crumble ground chuck and sausage into hot pot, cook until evenly browned. Drain excess grease.
- Pour in the chili beans drained, both reg. And spicy, tomatoes and tomato paste. Add the onion, celery, green and red peppers.chile peppers, bacon bits, bouillon and beer. Season with chili powder,Worcestershire sauce, garlic, oregano, cumin, hot sauce, basil, salt and pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika and white sugar.
- Let chili simmer for 30-45 minutes- can simmer longer if you want- also better reheated the next day
- Serve with macaroni noodles, cheese, sour cream, soup crackers and diced onions
